The low stand positions the MOON 45 close to the ground, creating an intimate fire that works beautifully in relaxed garden and patio settings.

Innovative low-smoke combustion

MOON uses a double-wall combustion system to burn the wood gases produced during the fire. Preheated air rises between the walls and ignites these gases during a second combustion stage, producing a spectacular ring of flames while substantially reducing smoke.

When correctly operated with suitable wood pellets, MOON can provide a low-smoke fire for up to approximately 2 hours.

Wood or wood pellets

MOON 45 can be fuelled using either firewood or wood pellets, giving you the flexibility to choose the type of fire you prefer.

For a cleaner and more consistent low-smoke burn, Höfats recommends wood pellets certified to EN 14961-2 and carrying the ENplus A1/A2 quality label.

Using approximately 10–12 kg of suitable pellets can provide up to around two hours of continuous burning.

The low stand

The low stand creates a more grounded and intimate appearance, placing the fire closer to the floor and making the flames the natural focal point.

It is particularly suited to lounge-style outdoor spaces where the fire is viewed from a seated position.

Because the low MOON radiates strong heat downwards, Höfats specifies that it should only be placed on suitable heat-resistant surfaces such as stone, concrete or sand. It should not be placed directly on wooden decking or lawns.

A spectacular 360° fire

The spherical design allows the fire to be enjoyed from all sides. As the secondary combustion develops, flames emerge through the perforated ring around the upper section and combine with the central fire to create a dramatic circle of flame.

The MOON 45 has been designed for straightforward maintenance. Its removable ash tray makes cleaning easier, while the construction can be assembled and disassembled without tools.
